Position Purpose
The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a key role in ensuring patients experience clarity, respect and professionalism in all financial interactions with City Fertility. You will provide dedicated expertise in debtor management, patient payment pathways and financial compliance, enabling our Patient Services team to focus on exceptional care while you bring structure, consistency and quality to end‑to‑end collections nationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a patient‑centred AR process with clear, compassionate financial conversations
- Proactively manage overdue accounts with structured, compliant follow‑up schedules
- Conduct empathetic payment negotiations and offer appropriate hardship pathways
- Review, reconcile and validate accounts monthly to prevent revenue leakage and ensure accuracy
- Establish baseline AR metrics, reporting frameworks and dashboards for data‑driven decisions
- Generate timely financial performance reports highlighting trends, risks and collection effectiveness
- Collaborate with Patient Services and Operations to streamline billing workflows and reduce patient frustration
- Develop national SOPs for AR processes to ensure clear, repeatable and compliant practice
- Identify systemic issues causing billing errors or delays and support sustainable fixes
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and a culture of clarity and care
What We Are Looking For
1. Demonstrated AR, debt management or financial admin experience, with ability to manage complex/sensitive matters in a patient‑centred way
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and stakeholders; confidence in respectful, empathetic financial conversations
3. Proven analytical capability and attention to detail in reconciliations, discrepancy resolution and interpreting trends for decision‑making
4. Ability to develop, follow and improve structured processes, documentation, reporting frameworks and SOPs
5. A values‑driven approach demonstrating professionalism, ethical conduct and dedication to improving patient experience
