Employment Type: Part-Time (with opportunity for additional shifts)

Your Role:

As part of our IVF/Peri-Operative team you will work in either:

Anaesthetic, Scrub/Scout and Recovery Nursing

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and admissions
• Assist with inhalation anaesthesia administration and intraoperative monitoring
• Support airway management and post-op care
• Educate and support patients post-procedure
• Assist in emergency preparedness and clinical documentation
• Collaborate with surgical, IVF, laboratory, and clinical teams

OR

Instrument Nurse (Scrub/Scout)

• Set up and maintain sterile fields and instrumentation for IVF procedures
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards

About You:

Qualifications and Experience (All Applicants):

• Bachelor of Nursing (or higher)
• Postgraduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (preferred but not essential)
• Current AHPRA Registration
• Minimum 2 years’ perioperative experience
• At least 1 year in anaesthetics, recovery, or scrub/scout
• Basic experience in IVF (advantageous) or a willingness to gain some skills in this area.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Advanced Life Support (ALS) preferred
• Legal working rights in Australia

Knowledge and Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of theatre and day surgery procedures
• Understanding of NSQHS and ACORN standards
• Adherence to NMBA standards and guidelines
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Sound clinical judgment and critical thinking
