Your Role:
As part of our IVF/Peri-Operative team you will work in either:
Anaesthetic, Scrub/Scout and Recovery Nursing
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and admissions
- Assist with inhalation anaesthesia administration and intraoperative monitoring
- Support airway management and post-op care
- Educate and support patients post-procedure
- Assist in emergency preparedness and clinical documentation
- Collaborate with surgical, IVF, laboratory, and clinical teams
OR
Instrument Nurse (Scrub/Scout)
- Set up and maintain sterile fields and instrumentation for IVF procedures
- Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards
About You:
Qualifications and Experience (All Applicants):
- Bachelor of Nursing (or higher)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (preferred but not essential)
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Minimum 2 years’ perioperative experience
- At least 1 year in anaesthetics, recovery, or scrub/scout
- Basic experience in IVF (advantageous) or a willingness to gain some skills in this area.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Advanced Life Support (ALS) preferred
- Legal working rights in Australia
Knowledge and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of theatre and day surgery procedures
- Understanding of NSQHS and ACORN standards
- Adherence to NMBA standards and guidelines
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Sound clinical judgment and critical thinking
